Me vs Credit Cards

“Credit cards are not bad, there’s just bad credit card users,” is a statement I always use to defend my credit card worship. After years of bad credit card debt, I must succumb to defeat. I started to swore off on using all of my 3 credit cards at the beginning of 2013. The monthly stress of seeing your bills pile up made me realize that it is not worth it anymore.

It brings me much relief now that I have completely paid off and closed 1 out of 3 credit cards.  This I have managed to do while paying the minimum on my other 2 cards. Now that I have closed my first card, my plan is to take the amount I have been paying previously to my 1st card and add it to the minimum I’ve been paying for my 2nd card. Once I closed out the 2nd card, I’ll just repeat the process to completely pay off my 3rd card. Then, I’m officially debt-free baby! I think I got this idea from Robert & Kim Kiyosaki’s book, How We Got Out of Bad Debt.

From there, I will be able to use my money in more productive activities like taking up an MBA, investing in real estate or the stock market, or even saving up for retirement. No more credit cards for this woman =)

  1. Its like you read my mind! You seem to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you can do with a few pics to drive the message home a little bit, but instead of that, this is excellent blog. An excellent read. I’ll definitely be back.
